A cooling night breeze filled the air with the scent of vanilla. Rose bushes lined the cobbled pathways that wound its way through the garden. A lone man walked down the path, his steps surprisingly heavy for his size, crushing pebbles beneath his feet.


“Standby,” Helena warned, “we attack once he comes up the steps”

“Huh? He’s the monster that our entire squad is here for? I could down him with a single bolt from here!” Calyce scorned. The rest of the squad smiled but made no noise. Life has not been the same ever since that pirate captain had joined the order. Her squad of assassins had been split into various teams, each now replaced by pioneers that the captain had brought in. Her raid squad now comprises six teams of three.

Team A (Anchor Team) – Trooper, ETS, Emilia
Team B (Assault Team) – Asoka, Lionel, Vincent
Team C (Buff Team)– Lisa, Lorch and Scout
Team D/E/F (DPS Team) – Helena, Elementalist/Calyce and Emilia

Admittedly, the composite team had significantly expanded the abilities of her raid group. The magic were indeed delivering massive damage to some of those thick skinned monstrosities. The buffs are very much welcome too. The pirate captain had also been shrewd in pairing the teams to maximize the team buffs that boosted their strength. Nevertheless, she still missed her companions.

“Now!” Helena shrieked, her high pitch scream rang out in the still night air, interrupting her thoughts and causing the entire team to spring into action…
